of the 3rd Tyneside Scottish Regiment, who'se remains were found
84 years later at the Lochnagar Crater in La Boisselle .

Thiepval Memorial designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.
This memorial commemorates the 1916 Anglo-French offensive on the Somme and it inscribed the names of over 73,000 men from UK and South Africa who have no known grave and who fell between July 1916 and March 1918.
The Australian Missing is commemorated to Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, the Canadians on the Vimy Ridge Memorial, the Newfoundlanders at Beaumont-Hamel and New Zelanders at Longueval.

Ulster Tower Memorial
The Ulster Tower Memorial, situated near to Thiepval Wood, on the former German front line, is a replica of Helen's Tower at Clandboye, near Belfast. This memorial was erected to commemorate the bravery of the 36th Ulster division during the attack of the Scwaben Redoubt the 1st July 1916.
